The information allows us to look at local employment trends so they can indicate the availability of labour in certain areas, so they can see whether it is in fact easy or difficult to hire .It also can be used to see whether a large company has made employees redundant which means there will be more workers available with the skills that could be transferable to the job. Local skills shortages is another piece of valid information that Hr department find valuable as they can expand their own training schemes for employees to build up their skills. Hr feel that coming together with fellow companies and employers in the area in which is in a similar industry, can support local schools and colleges so that people can develop their skills early on. Competition for employees is important for Hr to be aware of, as they will want know whether fellow competitors are enlarging the company and will in turn have a larger demand for labour. Human resources use this information inparticualr to overview the level of unemployment within certain regions and areas. Through this there will be a higher availability of labour, and so more people can commute easily the work place. This also depends on the regions statistics, age distribution, attitudes to women working and to the extent to which young people stay at school, college or go to higher education. John Lewis’s Hr department also look at internal labour market statistics to help them develop the business. It is important to overview labour turnover as it allows them to forecast for the future, for if staff turnover is high they must recognise why this is so and then make changes to keep staff. However in some ways companies can take advantage of staff turnover as they can see it as an opening for promotions and fresh ideas from new staff. Yet at the same time losing staff is cost effective to the company as they will lose the skills and retrain new employees. Human resources feel that it is important to keep a record of the companies sickness and accident rates. This means holding records of the companies notified absences, absences due to sickness and unauthorised absences. Through this they can take a statistical analysis and use the information to identify any particular problems with a specific or group of employees. However HR then look at whether absences are due to sickness or are unauthorised.

African-American Lynch Mob Essay
Author David Horowitz has written an article called African-American Lynch Mob. In the article Mr. Horowitz is expressing his frustration with the way African –American civil rights leaders, namely Reverend Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are inciting a lynch mob mentality in regards to the death of Trayvon Martin. Trayvon Martin, who was a 17 year old African-American male, was shot to death by George Zimmerman who happens to be Hispanic. Mr. Horowitz believes that the lynch mob racist, Reverend Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are leading the way for the African-American community to insinuate that George Zimmerman is a racist without any facts. First I take issue with Mr. Horowitz fallacy calling Reverend Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton racist. Is it racist for an individual or group to stand up and fight against inequality and injustices? For many decades Reverend Jackson and Reverend Sharpton have helped those African-Americans who could not help themselves when the odds were stacked against them; providing a strong voice for the law and lawmakers to listen to, when the voices of the African-American citizens were not heard. Doing this does not make one a racist. As mentioned previously, Mr. Horowitz states that Mr. Zimmerman is being labeled a racist without any facts; this is a fallacy and not exactly true. Recently audio has been discovered that has Mr. Zimmerman’s making racial slurs, along with eyewitnesses stating that they personally heard him making racial slurs. The impending investigation will prove whether Mr. Zimmerman is a racist or not; however even in this early stage, investigator will have enough reasons to not rule out the cause of death by race crime. Mr. Horowitz belief that the evidence is irrelevant to the so call lynch mob is unfounded. The African-American protesters are only protesting because they believe there is enough evidence to warrant an arrest of Mr. Zimmerman. However, instead of being arrest Mr. Zimmerman is walking free. Mr. Horowitz calls the display of racial outrage over this case a national disgrace, and I disagree with that statement. The display of racial outrage over this case is not a national disgrace; the fact that African-Americans still have to protest because of injustice is a national disgrace. As I concluded the article it was pretty evident that Mr. Horowitz view point was a bit slighted. It seems to me that the views he has taken are based on his dislike for Reverend Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, and their way of obtaining justice for those who they lead and represent. Mr. Horowitz dislike for both of the reverends probably goes a long way back, and because of this, any point that he makes in regards to these two reverends should be taken with a grain of salt.

Macbeth Critical/ Analytical Study Essay
Guilt is a very strong, uncomfortable feeling that is often a result of one’s own actions. In the play, Macbeth, the author William Shakespeare uses character development to demonstrate how guilt can be self-destructive and ultimately lead to a negative impact on an individual’s mental stability. Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and Macduff all suffer from a guilty conscience which affects them in different ways but ultimately causes them to behave irrationally. A person’s guilt and disgrace has the power to drive them to insanity and sometimes self-destruction. Macbeth starts out as a brave, heroic individual who is widely respected throughout his country. However, behind the valiant image is a secret that is slowly eating away at him. Macbeth is a murderer. The guilt and shame commence when Macbeth allows himself to be manipulated to commit such a beastly act. When he first experiences his guilty conscience, he mistakes the feeling as fear. This is first evident just before he murders King Duncan and Macbeth has a vision of an imaginary dagger. â€Å"Is this a dagger which I see before me,/ the handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee.†(2.1.33-34). He realizes that the dagger is just an image in his mind, but decides that it is a result of his fear and continues with the task. This is the first point where Macbeth shows a sign of a mental breakdown, although he is still able to think somewhat rationally. This ultimately evolves into a hardened Macbeth and causes him to continue with his horrific actions until he is out of control. The murder of King Duncan is followed by the murders of many others, including his closest friend Banquo. The build-up of guilt begins the affect Macbeth’s mental state more and more until he can no longer think straight. He begins to hallucinate and on occasion has visions of the ghost of Banquo. The ghost first appears at the banquet, where Macbeth sees the bloody image of Banquo sitting at the dinner table. His horrific reaction alone shows the guilt he has for the murder, and the fact that no other guests at the banquet are aware of the ghost confirms that the ghost has been made up in Macbeth’s head. This is the point at which the mental illness begins to take over, causing Macbeth to behave insanely as well. The guilt and shame of his actions is what in the end destroys him. The murder of Macduff’s family is the main example of how rampant he becomes; it is the unnecessary murder of the complete innocent. Macbeth’s disgrace is obvious near the end of the play, where he informs Macduff that he would not harm him as he is already guilty of murdering his whole family. â€Å"But get thee back; my soul is too much charged/ With blood of thane already†(5.8.6-7). He proves this when he has an opportunity to kill Macduff but instead backs down. This is the point in the play that represents the self-destruction of guilt. Out of revenge, Macduff soon after slays Macbeth, taking his life. With such a build up of guilt and shame driving him to the point of insanity, Macbeth’s mental instability eventually took over and led him to his own destruction. Macbeth’s wife experiences similar guilt, although is affected by it in a different way. Lady Macbeth is the individual who first instigates Macbeth to commit his first crime. She has a considerable amount of ambition for power, and is not afraid to execute any kind of horrific offence in order to get the power she wants. After the murder of the King, Lady Macbeth does not show signs of disgrace like her husband, in fact she tells Macbeth that they need to forget about the crime all together. â€Å"Things without all remedy/ Should be without regard: what’s done is done.†(3.2.13-14). However, guilt still haunts Lady Macbeth, but it haunts her in her subconscious. She makes it clear that she is unable to sleep at night and that she is disturbed by nightmares. Although, Lady Macbeth is only involved with the initial murder of Duncan, the several murders that follow are out of her control. Her idea of covering up and forgetting about the crime is soon taken over by an out of control guilty conscience. She begins to show remorse for the actions, but her guilt is what drives her to her insanity. The point at which this is evident is when she is found sleep walking one night. During her soliloquy, memories of the night of the murder tumble out, revealing some of her guilty secrets. â€Å"The Thane of Fife had a wife. Where is she now?†(5.1.30). â€Å"I tell you again, Banquo is buried; he cannot come on’s grave.†(5.1.44). This is also the point at while Lady Macbeth’s mental instability begins to show. She starts hallucinating that she has blood on her hands from the murder that she cannot seem to wash off. â€Å"Out, damned sport! Out, I say!†(5.1.25). Lady Macbeth’s shame overpowers her, leaving her incapable to think or act rationally and her conscience is what ultimately causes her to take her own life. Lady Macbeth loses control of her emotions and guilt and her shame overwhelms her to the point of suicide. Macduff is another character who is consumed with guilt as well, but for a different reason. His guilt is not for any crimes he has committed, but it is a result of one of Macbeth’s. Macduff leaves his family alone at their house in Scotland, while he travels to England in order to gather forces to stand against Macbeth. Because of this, Macbeth sees him as a threat to his power and does anything he can to stop him, just as he has to any other individuals who came across as a threat. While Macduff is away, Macbeth murders his wife and children, as well as any employees found in his house. Macduff blames himself and feels guilty for leaving his family alone to be slaughtered. â€Å"Sinful Macduff,/ They were all struck for thee! Naught I am,/ Not for their own demerits, but for mine,/ Fell slaughter on their souls.†(4.3.231-234). Macduff then shows his firsts signs of inability to think rationally as a result of this guilt. His immediate reaction Is revenge on Macbeth, and he is then driven by the idea of his murder. Macduff vows to kill Macbeth on his own blade. When he achieves his wish of revenge and frees the country of Macbeth’s tyranny, he does so in a way that was no better than the acts of Macbeth. Even when a person’s guilt is brought upon them by an act which is out of their control, it can still affect their mental state and cause them to lose control of their emotions. No matter the individual, or their title, guilt can take over anyone. Both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth had guilt that led to their own self-destruction. Macduff’s led to an irrational decision and a result no better than that of Macbeth’s actions. When individuals allow their emotions take over their actions it to a lack of ability to reason, it can drive a person mad and ultimately lead to their own downfall.

How To Play Soccer? Soccer is a sport played between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball. According to FIFA which is the international foundation of football association, soccer is played by two hundred and fifty million players in over two hundred countries, making it the world’s most popular sport. The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by using any part of the body besides the arms and hands to get the ball into the opposing goal. One way to learn how to play soccer is to know its skills, field and equipment and the general rules. There are five fundamental skills that a beginner player should know before starting playing soccer. The major skill is passing, knowing how to pass the ball to other teammates is a major part of the game by using the inside part of the foot. In addition to passing, controlling the ball is another necessary skill that any player should master. Also, dribbling an opponent with or without the ball is a skill that needs some techniques, not every soccer player can dribble. Moreover, kicking the ball is a major skill that allows players to score goals, to kick a ball, a player should hit the ball in the center by using the front of the foot. Finally, stopping the opponent or tackling is one of the duties that is assigned to defenders and midfielders, they try as much as they can to recuperate the ball from the opponent team in order to rebuild an attack. Passing, controlling, dribbling, kicking and tackling are the five major skills in soccer. Additionally, soccer is played in a rectangular field that is divided into two parts. The length of the field is one hundred and thirty yards and the width is hundred yards. In addition, there are eleven player in each side of the field, every player has a position that is assigned by the coach who choose the best tactic to play, the most famous tactic is 4-4-2: one goalkeeper, four defenders, four midfielders and two attackers. There is four referees, the duty of the official referee is to enforce the laws of the game and control the match in co-operation with the two assistant referees and with the fourth official who organize substitutions. There are two types of warnings in soccer, yellow and red card. The referee give one the cards basing on the foul committed. For example, if a defender touches the ball by his hand voluntarily, the referee give him a yellow card, if the player touches the ball inside the operating area the referee gives him a red card which means an expulsion from the match. In addition, there are two kinds of kicks in soccer, direct and indirect kick. In direct kick the player kicks the ball directly to the net. In contrast, in the indirect kick, the player passes the ball to one of his teammate to continue their attack operation. Having an idea about soccer rules, fouls and the different types of kicks may help players to get familiar with the circumstances of matchs. Finally, based on my experience, I believe that soccer is a wonderful sport to play because it combines between tactical and physical skills.
